Acer unveils five new AI-powered Swift laptops with Intel's Panther Lake chips

Acer is expanding its Swift laptop range with five new AI-powered models. The lineup includes the Swift Go 14 AI, Swift Go 16 AI, Swift Edge 14 AI, and Swift Edge 16 AI, all set for release in the second quarter of this year. The company has also announced the Swift 16 AI, which will arrive even sooner—launching in late January as the first laptop featuring Intel's new Panther Lake processors.

The Swift 16 AI stands out as the first device powered by Intel's latest Panther Lake chips. Buyers can configure it with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor and 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also offers a spacious touchpad measuring 175.5 × 109.7 mm and an optional 16-inch OLED screen.

All five new Swift models share a premium display option: a 1.8K OLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI promise extended usage with 'multi-day battery life', thanks to a 71Wh battery. Meanwhile, the Swift Edge 14 AI and Swift Edge 16 AI come with less powerful GPUs compared to other models in the series.

Acer has not yet announced pricing for any of the new laptops. Official details will be revealed closer to each model's launch, with the Swift 16 AI arriving first in late January and the remaining four following in Q2.

The new Swift series introduces a mix of performance and battery efficiency, alongside high-end display choices. Pricing details will be confirmed at IFA 2025, where Acer is expected to provide full specifications and availability. Until then, buyers will need to wait for official updates before making purchase decisions.
