Vladivostok's Rudnev Bridge reconstruction kicks off with new contractor

Vladivostok authorities have chosen Moststroy-11 as the contractor for the Rudnev Bridge reconstruction. The project has cleared a key hurdle after its design passed state expertise review. Work will begin soon under a contract set to be signed in the coming weeks. Preparations for the new bridge have been thorough. Extensive studies covered geotechnical, geodetic, hydrometeorological, and environmental assessments, alongside soil testing. The first phase will include relocating utility networks, demolishing the old structure, and starting construction on the new one.

The new bridge will stretch 498 metres in length and 28 metres in width. It will feature four traffic lanes, sidewalks, and modern interchange hubs to ease congestion. To reduce delays during construction, alternative routes will be provided for drivers.

Funding for the project comes from both federal and regional sources, with support from Primorsky Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako. The initial budget was 10.9 billion rubles, but costs have risen by nearly half a billion due to increased construction expenses. Independent organisations will monitor the work to ensure it meets all standards. The bridge is expected to be finished by the end of 2029. Once complete, it will improve traffic flow in Vladivostok with its expanded lanes and updated infrastructure. Construction will proceed under strict oversight to guarantee quality and compliance.
