Seturion, Weltix, and BlockInvest unite to simplify tokenised asset settlement in Italy
Seturion, the settlement platform for tokenised assets under Boerse Stuttgart Group, has formed a new partnership. It is teaming up with Weltix and BlockInvest to streamline the issuance and settlement of tokenised financial instruments. The collaboration targets Italian issuers and investors with a regulated, end-to-end solution. Under the partnership, issuers can create and distribute tokenised financial instruments through the BlockInvest platform. Weltix then manages their circulation using its distributed ledger technology register, which is authorised by Italy’s Consob regulator. Seturion completes the process by handling settlement, offering options in central bank money or on-chain cash.
Sven Wilke, Deputy CEO and CGO of Seturion, highlighted the benefits for Italian market participants. He stated that the partnership provides the full value chain in a single regulated framework, from issuance to final settlement. Lorenzo Rigatti, Founder and CEO of BlockInvest, added that it creates a seamless corridor for banks and corporates to move assets and capital across Europe without friction.
The infrastructure supports trading on multilateral trading facilities and over-the-counter markets. It also grants direct access to Boerse Stuttgart Group’s trading venues. The initiative aims to tackle the current fragmentation in Europe’s digital capital markets by uniting key players under one system. The partnership remains open to additional participants, including banks, trading venues, and other financial institutions. The collaboration between Seturion, Weltix, and BlockInvest offers a complete, regulated pathway for tokenised instruments. It enables efficient issuance, circulation, and settlement while addressing settlement fragmentation in European markets. The solution is designed to facilitate cross-border movement of assets and capital for banks and corporates.
