Sochi raises bus fares from 1 July due to rising operational costs
Fares on several municipal bus routes in Sochi will rise from 1 July 2023. The change affects trips within the city limits and follows increased operational expenses. The city has announced new prices for a range of services. Routes No. 7р, 8, 13, 19, 22, 25, 41, 95, and 98 will now cost 55 rubles per journey. Routes No. 88, 115, 130, 517, 534, 558, and 560 will have the same base fare.
During peak times, between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM, and from 9:00 PM until the end of service, the fare on these routes will increase to 60 rubles. Routes No. 26, 35, 57, and 87 will keep their current price of 25 rubles. For routes extending beyond Sochi, fares will vary depending on distance.
The city cites higher costs for fuel, spare parts, maintenance, and fleet upgrades as the reason for the adjustment. Full details will be displayed inside buses and on the official Sochi city administration website. The fare changes take effect on 1 July 2023. Passengers can check updated prices on buses or the city’s website. Routes beyond Sochi will have distance-based pricing.
