Khabarovsk Airlines Expands Regional Routes with Leased An-28 Aircraft
Khabarovsk Airlines has leased a twin-engine An-28 aircraft until the end of the year. The plane will serve routes connecting Nikolayevsk-on-Amur, Ayan, and Kherpuchi. It is configured to carry up to 17 passengers per flight. An An-24 has already begun operating between Nikolayevsk-on-Amur and Ayan. The new An-28 will soon join it, expanding services to Kherpuchi. The aircraft will be based at Nikolayevsk-on-Amur Airport.
Passengers on these routes will have a free baggage allowance of 10 kilograms for checked luggage and 5 kilograms for hand luggage. Meanwhile, connecting flights between Khabarovsk and Nikolayevsk will still be handled by Aurora Airlines. The An-28 will operate on a temporary lease for the remainder of the year. Its introduction aims to improve regional connectivity in the area. Passengers can now travel between the three towns with the new aircraft.
