Banobras awards $154M contract to modernize Mexico–Querétaro highway

Banobras has awarded a major contract for the modernisation of the Mexico–Querétaro highway. The project covers two key sections of the road in the State of Mexico. The announcement came on Tuesday, June 16. The first section stretches from kilometer 32+800 to 43+150. It passes through Cuautitlán Izcalli and Tepotzotlán. The second section runs from kilometer 43+150 to 56+000, covering Tepotzotlán, Coyotepec, Huehuetoca, and Soyaniquilpan.

The contract, worth over 154 million pesos, was awarded to Servicios Mexicanos de Ingeniería Civil, S.A. de C.V. and Incuba Urbana, S.C. Their task involves developing, adapting, and reviewing executive project plans for the highway’s upgrade. Banobras has also requested detailed technical studies, including topographic surveys, soil mechanics analyses, and hydrological assessments. The awarded firms will now carry out the necessary evaluations and design work. The project aims to modernise a critical transport route in the region. The contract marks a significant step in improving the highway’s infrastructure.
