Omsk launches 77.7M-ruble project to restore road markings citywide
Omsk has signed a major contract to restore road markings across the city. The agreement, announced by Mayor Sergei Shelesht on June 25, 2026, covers 39 street sections. Work is already underway, with some areas already completed. Specialists began restoring road markings in Omsk on April 20, 2026. They used AK-511 paint and cold plastic for the initial work. Some of this was part of warranty obligations for previously repaired roads.
The new contract, worth 77.7 million rubles, involves applying cold and hot plastic with reflective elements. The contractor, Dorogi Urala LLC from Sverdlovsk Oblast, must finish all work by August 15, 2026. So far, markings have been completed on streets like Vavilova and Margelova, covering about 19,000 square metres. The project will improve visibility and safety on Omsk’s roads. The contract includes key routes such as Ordzhonikidze Street and Volgogradskaya Street. All sections are expected to be marked with durable, reflective materials by mid-August.
