Wartburgkreis Disability Office Closes for July 2026 Tech Upgrade

The Disability Assessment Office of the Wartburgkreis District Administration will close for in-person visits on 1 and 2 July 2026. The shutdown is part of a statewide technical upgrade managed by the Thuringian State Data Center. A system transition will take place during the first two days of July. This will affect the specialised software used for disability assessments, making it temporarily unavailable. Staff will still handle limited telephone inquiries while the office remains closed to the public.

The upgrade is expected to finish by 6 July 2026. Full services, including all inquiries and assessments, should return to normal on that date. Residents needing disability assessments will have to wait until the system is back online. The office will reopen for in-person appointments once the technical work is complete. Phone support will remain available in the meantime.
