Aulendorf Station's €37.4M Modernisation Kicks Off with Key Upgrades

A major modernisation project for Aulendorf station has officially begun. Federal, state, and local authorities are investing millions to upgrade the transport hub. The scheme aims to improve accessibility, comfort, and appeal for passengers. The project was launched with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by representatives from Deutsche Bahn, Baden-Württemberg, and Aulendorf. They highlighted the need for better accessibility and climate-friendly travel options.

Key upgrades include a new pedestrian underpass and three elevators for step-free platform access. Several platforms will also be rebuilt or enhanced to improve passenger comfort. Obsolete infrastructure will be removed as part of the transformation.

The station is part of the 'Station of the Future' initiative, which is modernising transport hubs across the state. A total of €37.4 million is being invested to create a barrier-free, future-proof facility. The upgraded Aulendorf station is scheduled to open in winter 2029. The changes will provide step-free access and a more comfortable experience for travellers. The project is expected to enhance the station’s functionality and long-term sustainability.
