Krasnodar completes major repairs on Krasina Street for safer access
Major repairs have been completed on Krasina Street in Krasnodar. The street is a key route to several important social facilities, including the Children's Regional Hospital and Psychiatric Hospital No. 1. The work was part of the city’s broader road improvement programme. The repairs on Krasina Street covered a 500-metre stretch from Kubanskaya Embankment to house No. 16. The old asphalt-concrete pavement was replaced, and new tiles were laid on the sidewalks. The pedestrian zone was also expanded and extended for better access.
Additional safety measures were introduced to slow down traffic. These included new road markings, installed signs, and artificial speed bumps. Stopping pavilions were replaced, and parking lots as well as entrances to nearby areas were repaired.
This project is part of the 'Development of the Road Network of Krasnodar Krai' programme. So far this year, 10 out of 15 planned road sections in Krasnodar have been repaired. Since 2018, the city has upgraded 30 road sections, totalling over 38 km in its central area. All road works for 2026 are scheduled to finish by September 1. The improvements on Krasina Street enhance access to critical facilities. The upgrades also increase safety for pedestrians and drivers. The city remains on track to complete all planned road repairs within the set deadline.
