Pelorus Unveils Curious Minds to Transform Family Travel Through Adventure

Pelorus has launched Curious Minds, a new family-focused travel service. The programme draws inspiration from Sir David Attenborough’s legacy and aims to shape children through meaningful travel experiences. Curious Minds places children’s interests and personalities at the heart of trip planning. To guide itinerary design, Pelorus has developed five traveller profiles: Guardian, Creator, Seeker, Explorer, and Storyteller.

Seeker experiences cater to young minds fascinated by science and discovery. Options include astronomy expeditions in Namibia or witnessing the 2027 solar eclipse on the Nile. Guardian itineraries focus on conservation, such as tagging whales in Antarctica or aiding marine projects in Mozambique.

Creator trips encourage children to document their journeys through art, writing, or photography. One example involves retracing Odysseus’ path across the Mediterranean. Explorer itineraries centre on adventure, with activities like treasure trails in São Tomé and Príncipe or rainforest expeditions in Costa Rica.

Storyteller experiences emphasise cultural exchange and intergenerational learning. Families can meet traditional communities in Papua New Guinea or take part in Warrior Games in Kenya. Pelorus believes the value of family trips should be measured by what children learn and how they grow. The new service offers tailored adventures designed to inspire and educate young travellers.
