MARTA train breaks down near Lenox Station, causing late-night delays

A MARTA train broke down near Lenox Station late on Saturday night. The issue was caused by mechanical problems. Passengers faced delays as crews worked to fix the train. The train came to a stop on the tracks at around 10:20 p.m. Rail Operations is now looking into what caused the failure. All passengers were safely taken off the train and returned to Lindbergh Center Station by 11:35 p.m.

After the passengers were moved, the disabled train was towed to MARTA’s rail yard. MARTA later apologised for the inconvenience caused by the delay. The incident led to temporary disruptions on the line. Rail Operations continues to investigate the mechanical failure. No injuries were reported during the event.
