Magadan's eco-friendly cleanup unites thousands for a greener city

Residents of Magadan are invited to take part in an eco-friendly cleanup event on June 21, 2023. The initiative aims to tidy up the Gorokhovo Field area and is part of a wider citywide campaign for cleanliness. Over 5,800 locals have already joined the effort. The event will begin at 1:00 PM, with participants meeting at 57 Naberezhnaya Magadanki Street, near the Slavyansky supermarket. Organisers advise attendees to wear suitable clothing, bring work gloves, drinking water, and maintain a positive attitude.

Garbage bags, gloves, and waste removal vouchers will be provided for the cleanup. Those needing to log volunteer hours must register in advance. For inquiries, the public can call +7 (4132) 201-112.

Anyone interested in organising their own cleanup in Magadan can do so by selecting a site, estimating the number of volunteers, and contacting the Administrative and Technical Inspection Office at 3B Gorky Square. The cleanup will focus on improving the Gorokhovo Field area. Supplies and support are available for participants. The campaign continues to grow, with thousands already contributing to a cleaner city.
