United Airlines adds 13 new routes from Chicago O'Hare in 2026
United Airlines is expanding its operations at Chicago O'Hare Airport. The airline has added five more gates and plans to service 13 new destinations from ORD in 2026. Two of these routes will launch in June of that year. Starting on 1 June 2026, United will resume nonstop flights to Erie, Pennsylvania. The airline last served Erie in 2023. The ORD-ERI route will operate three times daily during the summer, with a flight time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Tickets will start at $209 one-way or 10,200 United MileagePlus miles.
A week later, on 8 June 2026, United will begin nonstop service to Tri-Cities, Tennessee. This will be a new destination for the carrier. Flights between ORD and TRI will also run three times daily in summer, with a duration of 1 hour and 44 minutes. Tickets for this route start at $214 one-way or 10,200 miles.
Additionally, United will increase its summer service to Lincoln, Nebraska. The ORD-LNK route will see five daily flights. The two new routes add to United’s growing network from Chicago. With more gates and additional destinations, the airline is strengthening its presence at O’Hare. Passengers will have more options for travel from the hub starting in mid-2026.
