He also passed on warm greetings to German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Reiche praised Kazakhstan’s socioeconomic progress and highlighted the potential for greater collaboration. Tokayev assured her that Kazakhstan would continue creating favourable conditions for German businesses. He also updated her on the country’s political reforms, including the democratic principles in its new constitution.
The talks covered expanding cooperation in energy, industry, digitalisation, rare earth minerals, and transport infrastructure. These include major firms like CLAAS, Horsch, Siemens, BASF, Heidelberg Materials, Siemens Energy, Knauf, and Linde.
Since 2005, Kazakhstan has attracted more than $8 billion in direct foreign investment, primarily in non-resource sectors.
