Major railway stations in southern Russia have handled over 14.6 million passengers since the start of 2026. This includes significant traffic at key hubs like Adler and Rostov-Glavny. The region’s busiest station, Adler, saw the highest numbers by far. Adler Railway Station recorded around 2.2 million passengers, making it the busiest in the area. Sochi followed with 1.6 million, while Rostov-Glavny served approximately 1.8 million. Krasnodar-1 saw 1.5 million, with smaller stations like Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, and Pyatigorsk handling between 490,000 and 510,000 each.
The schedule for tourist trains has now been confirmed for all of 2027 and the first three months of 2028. A total of 131 services will run, an increase of 11 compared to 2026. Additional passenger trains have also been arranged on the Privolzhskaya Railway, connecting Saratov to popular seaside resorts in Krasnodar Krai during the summer. The expanded train services aim to meet growing demand for travel in the region. With over 14.6 million passengers already recorded this year, the new schedules will support tourism and transport needs. The increase in services reflects the area’s popularity as a destination.
