Citybus Line 8 in Emmendingen Gets New Operator and Schedule Changes
Changes are coming to Citybus Line 8 in Emmendingen district. From 1 July 2026, Southwest German Transport Company (SWEG) will take over operations. The route will still connect Emmendingen’s train station and music school to Nimburg via Teningen and Bottingen, running every two hours. SWEG has announced adjustments to the timetable. The 5:43 a.m. departure from Emmendingen station will no longer run on weekdays. Passengers seeking an early journey can use Line 520 instead, which leaves at 5:42 a.m. from the same station.
An extra connection toward Teningen and Nimburg will be added to the schedule. However, evening extensions to Heimbach from Monday to Friday and Saturday afternoon services will end. The line will use a midibus with 28 seats and room for 53 standing passengers.
Updated timetables are now available in digital information systems. The revised service will begin on 1 July 2026. Passengers can expect a modified schedule with new options and some removed services. Digital platforms will provide the latest details for planning journeys.
