India's logistics sector embraces EVs through Green Drive and Furlenco partnership

Green Drive Mobility and Furlenco have strengthened their partnership to boost electric vehicle use in India’s logistics sector. The collaboration aims to replace nearly 150 internal combustion engine vehicles with EVs as part of a broader shift. Furlenco has long prioritised sustainability, even when EVs were not widely trusted for logistics. The partnership first launched in Bengaluru before extending to Delhi and Hyderabad. Green Drive Mobility provides full support, from vehicle deployment to training drivers for EV operations.

Furlenco is working to electrify its entire fleet in stages. The goal is to convert around 1,000 ICE vehicles to EVs, improving efficiency and cutting emissions. Ala Harikrishna, founder of Green Drive Mobility, noted that the focus has shifted to scaling EV adoption effectively.

EV use in India’s logistics industry is now entering mainstream practice. Furlenco’s strategy includes creating a network that is both scalable and sustainable. The expanded partnership will help Furlenco replace legacy vehicles with cleaner alternatives. It marks a significant step towards greener logistics operations in India. The companies plan to continue growing their EV-based fleet in the coming years.
