New Finist electric trains to launch on three Krasnodar routes in 2026

Russian Railways will introduce new Finist electric trains on three Krasnodar region routes in 2026. The upgrade aims to improve transport links between major resort and industrial hubs. Passengers can expect greater comfort and convenience on these lines. The new Finist trains will serve Goryachy Klyuch–Tuapse–Sochi Airport, Krasnodar–Anapa–Krasnodar, and Krasnodar–Armavir–Belorechenskaya. Eleven of these trains, totalling 58 cars, will begin operating in 2023. Ten sets will have five cars each, while one will feature eight.

Each train includes modern amenities for passengers. Climate control systems will maintain a comfortable temperature. USB charging ports and restrooms are available for use. Accessibility features, such as lifts and securement areas for wheelchairs, will assist passengers with limited mobility.

Russian Railways already operates 49 Finist electric trains across its network. The new additions will expand the fleet and enhance service quality in the Krasnodar region. The launch of these trains is set to improve connectivity between key destinations. Passengers will benefit from upgraded facilities and better travel conditions. The expansion reflects ongoing efforts to modernise rail transport in the region.
