Debaltseve revives its roads with Russia's Khabarovsk Territory support

Debaltseve is rebuilding its road network with support from Russia’s Khabarovsk Territory. The work aims to restore transport links and improve daily life for residents. Governor Dmitry Demeshin is monitoring the progress closely. Since 2022, Khabarovsk Territory has helped Debaltseve repair its transport arteries. Last year, crews restored over 32,000 square meters of road surface across the city.

The first project of 2024 has now finished on Oktyabrskaya Street. Attention has shifted to the city centre, where Lenina, Postysheva, and Sovetskaya streets are under construction. On Lenina Street alone, workers have laid 8,000 square meters of asphalt and installed signs, speed bumps, and lane markings. The upgrades are a key part of Debaltseve’s recovery. They will improve transport accessibility and bring the city closer to normal functioning. Residents have already expressed thanks for the support received.
