Doublet's Latest Show Redefines Fashion with Humor and Sustainability

Designer Ino presented a bold and inventive collection at the latest Doublet fashion show. The event showcased a diverse cast of models, each styled to represent different moments of their day. Playful and unconventional accessories added a touch of humour to the runway. The show opened with a yuppie character beginning at the gym and ending in a plastic overcoat reminiscent of Patrick Bateman. A schoolgirl in uniform later transformed into a vibrant Harajuku-style figure after school. A pretty boy with lipstick prints on his outfit also walked the runway, adding to the eclectic mix.

Ino’s collection featured innovative fabrics, including recycled charcoal, banana fibre, and wood. Carbon-capture yarn from the previous season was reused, alongside new recycled materials. One standout piece was an all-in-one wrap that created the illusion of layered garments, with each section crafted from a different sustainable material.

Accessories stole the spotlight with quirky designs. Models carried giant coffee cup clutches and shopping bag-like totes. Some wore sunburnt thong tights, while a cat owner sported a shredded 'I love Puma' T-shirt, hinting at Doublet’s upcoming collaboration with Puma. A fashionista in an 'I heart PFW' T-shirt also made an appearance. The Doublet show blended sustainability with creativity, using unconventional materials and eye-catching designs. The collection and its presentation highlighted the brand’s commitment to innovation and diversity in fashion.
