AI Platform aiESG Exposes Hidden Risks in Global Supply Chains
A new AI-driven platform is helping businesses uncover hidden risks in their supply chains. Called aiESG, the tool analyses sustainability performance by mapping complex supplier networks. Companies and investors are already using it to improve transparency and decision-making. The platform works by combining company data—such as procurement records and sourcing locations—with global economic and ESG datasets. Unlike traditional methods, it traces not just direct suppliers but also those further up the chain. This reveals risks that might otherwise go unnoticed, from environmental harm to human-rights issues.
Businesses can then prioritise action based on which suppliers or regions pose the greatest threats. Financial institutions rely on aiESG to assess risk exposure in their portfolios, while companies use its dashboards for clearer sustainability reporting. Several high-profile organisations have already adopted the tool. Norinchukin Bank, a major Japanese investor, used aiESG to spot nature-related risks in its portfolio. Tokyu Land Corporation measured the social impact of a development project in Saga province with its help. Meanwhile, Yame City, a key tea producer in Fukuoka, partnered with aiESG to evaluate the ESG profile of its tea industry.
By connecting fragmented data and highlighting hidden patterns, aiESG links sustainability issues to financial and operational outcomes. The platform is now being used across industries to strengthen supply-chain transparency and reporting. Its adoption suggests growing demand for deeper ESG insights in corporate decision-making.
