Allianz pro Schiene elects new leadership at historic Swiss gathering

Allianz pro Schiene has chosen new spokespeople for its supporters’ circle during a recent meeting in Switzerland. The event, hosted by the Public Transport Association and the Rhaetian Railway, marked the first time the gathering took place outside Germany. Key leadership changes were announced, including a new deputy spokesperson and the re-election of an existing board member.

Gerhard Greiter, CEO of Siemens Mobility, was confirmed as the main spokesperson for the organisation. He retains his role after a vote by the supporters’ circle.

Berit Börke, Managing Director of Partner for Pioneers GmbH, will continue serving on the executive board. Her position was reaffirmed during the meeting. Malte Lawrenz, Chairman of the Association of Freight Wagon Keepers in Germany (VPI), steps into a new role as deputy spokesperson. He also joins the 12-member executive board, which is chaired by Martin Burkert. Lawrenz replaces Michail Stahlhut, who left the position after stepping down as CEO of HUPAC. The 2023 supporters’ meeting took place in Switzerland, a first for the annual event. Previous gatherings had always been held in Germany.

The leadership updates follow a meeting that brought together key figures in the rail industry. With Greiter and Lawrenz in new roles, the organisation moves forward with a refreshed executive team. The event’s location in Switzerland also signals a broader geographic focus for future activities.
