Altai adds temporary commuter trains for spring flood travel relief

Altai's Ministry of Transport has announced extra commuter trains between Kamen-na-Obi in Altai Territory and Taradanovo in Novosibirsk Oblast. The temporary service will run from April 2 to April 22 to help passengers during the spring flood period.

Four additional trains will operate daily, but only on weekdays.

The first train, No. 6778, will leave Kamen-na-Obi at 5:00 AM and reach Taradanovo at 5:34 AM. Later in the morning, Train No. 6777 departs Taradanovo at 5:58 AM and arrives in Kamen-na-Obi by 6:31 AM.

In the evening, Train No. 6780 leaves Kamen-na-Obi at 8:58 PM and arrives at Taradanovo at 9:32 PM. The final service, Train No. 6779, departs Taradanovo at 9:57 PM and reaches Kamen-na-Obi at 10:30 PM. All trains will stop at Plotinnaya station, as well as temporary halts at the 617 km marker and Rodina. Passengers seeking further details can visit the website of Altai-Prigorod JSC, the operator managing the service.

The extra trains aim to ease travel during the spring flood season. The schedule will remain in place until April 22, with no weekend services. Official updates on flooding in the region have not been reported since March.
