Amursk's Central Square to undergo major revitalisation by 2027
Amursk has finalised plans to revitalise Central Square, with construction set to begin later this year. The project will transform the area along Victory Avenue, near the children's clinic, and introduce modern upgrades to the public space.
The city secured 150 million rubles for the initiative after winning a nationwide competition. The design incorporates feedback from residents and follows current urban standards.
Key improvements include an interactive pedestrian fountain replacing the existing one. New pathways, contemporary seating, and better lighting will also be installed, allowing the square to stay open later in the evenings. Accessibility for people with limited mobility has been a central focus in the planning. Work will take place in stages, with the full revitalisation expected to finish by 2027.
Once complete, the upgraded Central Square will feature modern amenities and improved accessibility. The project aims to create a more welcoming and functional space for both locals and visitors.
