Angolan startup AND A secures $1.2M to expand fleet and logistics

Angolan startup AND A has secured US$1.2 million in funding from BFA Asset Management (BFAAM). The investment, made through BFAAM's Kimbo Fund, will help the company expand its fleet and logistics operations. Co-founder Sergio Tati described the partnership as a major step forward for the business. AND A was founded in 2022 by Sergio Tati and Joerg Nuehrmann. The company specialises in asset financing, driver training, and support services through its network of 'safe stops' for urban transport workers. It also offers a 'drive-to-own' model, allowing drivers to eventually own two-, three-, or four-wheeled vehicles.

The startup previously raised US$3.4 million in seed funding in late 2022, with Breega and Speedinvest leading the round. Now, the latest US$1.2 million injection from BFAAM will accelerate fleet modernisation, including the addition of electric vehicles, and improve logistics infrastructure.

BFAAM, Angola's largest alternative and fixed-income investment firm, highlighted its commitment to backing key economic sectors. CEO Rui Oliveira stated that the investment aligns with their strategy to foster growth in high-potential industries. With fresh funding, AND A plans to scale its operations and introduce more sustainable transport solutions. The partnership with BFAAM strengthens its position in Angola's urban mobility market. The company's expansion will focus on fleet upgrades and broader logistics development.
