Aquapulse revolutionizes India's aquaculture with AI and farmer-first tech

Aquapulse, a two-year-old agri-tech startup, is building India's first fully integrated aquaculture ecosystem. The company plans to expand its network to 15,000 farmers across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. Its approach combines AI-driven monitoring, digital pricing tools, and end-to-end logistics—services currently unmatched in the sector. Founded in 2022 by brothers Abhishek and Abhilash Dwivedy, Aquapulse supports shrimp and fish farmers with technology. Its app-based system tracks water quality, predicts growth, and provides digital expert advice for modern farming. Farmers also gain direct access to buyers, cutting out middlemen and securing fairer prices.

Aquapulse manages the entire post-harvest process, including grading, cold storage, and compliance. The startup recently raised ₹25 Cr ($2.7 Mn) in a Series A round led by NABVENTURES through its AgriSURE Fund. These funds will help establish an in-house processing plant to tighten quality control and boost profit margins. The company is now investing in AI-powered harvest systems and refining its transparent pricing model. Unlike other players, it offers a complete solution—from real-time monitoring to logistics—under one platform.

With its latest funding, Aquapulse is scaling operations to cover more farmers in key coastal states. The in-house processing facility and AI upgrades aim to streamline production and improve earnings for smallholders. The startup's model could set a new standard for efficiency in India's aquaculture sector.
