B317 near Maulburg faces ten days of delays for bridge safety upgrades

Drivers using the B317 near Maulburg will face delays from March 23, 2026. Roadworks at the Äckerleweg junction will replace guardrails on the bridge, improving safety for motorists. The project is set to last around ten working days.

The construction will begin on Monday, March 23, with crews working only on weekdays during off-peak times. This schedule aims to keep disruption to a minimum for regular commuters.

During the project, the road will narrow to a single lane at the junction. Temporary traffic lights will direct vehicles safely past the site. The nearby parking lot will also stay closed until the work finishes. Over weekends and public holidays, both the highway and the parking area will remain fully open. Drivers are advised to plan extra time for their journeys while the improvements take place.

The guardrail replacement is designed to boost safety on the bridge. Once complete, normal traffic flow will resume along the B317. The project is expected to wrap up within two weeks, weather permitting.
