Baden-Baden's bus strike leaves key route 212 completely stranded

Public transport in Baden-Baden faces another disruption as a strike halts key services. The Verkehrsgesellschaft Baden-Baden operator has announced cancellations, leaving passengers without alternatives on some routes. Bus route 212, connecting Baden-Baden and Rastatt, will be completely suspended on Monday, February 2.

The latest strike follows a pattern of full shutdowns during labour disputes. On February 2, the Verdi union's warnstreik (warning strike) forced the operator to cancel all services on Buslinie 212. No replacement transport was provided for affected passengers.

Previous strikes led to similar outcomes. The Verkehrsgesellschaft Baden-Baden has repeatedly suspended operations entirely during industrial action. Routes like 212, which serve critical links between Baden-Baden and neighbouring Rastatt, have been among those worst hit.

The cancellation of Buslinie 212 means no transport options for travellers on that route. Commuters and residents will need to make alternative arrangements for the day. The operator has not announced any temporary solutions to cover the disrupted service.
