Beeline's massive 2025 network upgrade brings faster mobile coverage nationwide
Beeline has expanded its mobile network across Russia with over 37,000 new base stations installed in 2025. The upgrade aims to boost speed and coverage, ensuring reliable connectivity in cities, stadiums, and even remote locations like mountains and islands. Residents can now lease their property to help strengthen network coverage in busy areas.
The company has focused on improving connectivity in high-traffic zones. At Sochi’s Krasная Polyana resort, additional base stations were placed near hiking trails and waterfalls, giving visitors better signal strength. Each station covers a specific area, or 'cell', working together to balance the network load and prevent slowdowns.
Beeline’s network relies on a high-speed 'backbone' that links major nodes. This system keeps data flowing smoothly, even if one connection fails. Self-Organizing Network (SON) technology also plays a key role by automatically adjusting traffic, reducing the need for manual intervention. Over the past ten years, data traffic on Beeline’s network has grown almost every year. Despite the increase, the system delivers large files in seconds, with users experiencing minimal delay.
The expansion includes new base stations, smart traffic management, and a resilient backbone. These upgrades ensure faster, more reliable mobile services for users across urban and remote areas. Property owners can also contribute by leasing space for additional network infrastructure.
