Construction Work on District Heating Pipeline to Resume in Second Phase

Berlin's Central Bus Station reopens Friday with ongoing traffic disruptions ahead

(our website/ps) The installation of the district heating pipeline as part of the "Future Center Riebeckplatz" project will continue in its second phase from Friday, March 20, 2026, through an estimated late September 2026. For the duration of the work, Ernst-Kamieth-Straße will be fully closed to traffic at the tram crossing. A signed detour will be in place via Maybachstraße, Rudolf-Ernst-Weise-Straße, and Merseburger Straße. Tram services will remain unaffected.

Starting Friday, when the second phase begins, the currently closed Central Bus Station (ZOB) on Ernst-Kamieth-Straße will reopen, with the exception of one bus bay.
