Biysk launches major road repairs under national infrastructure project

Road repair work has commenced in Biysk as part of Russia's national Infrastructure for Life project, Mayor Viktor Shchigrev announced in his Max channel.

According to the mayor, the first site where heavy machinery has been deployed is Vali Maksimovoy Street (from 2a/1 Vali Maksimovoy Street to Vasily Shukshin Square). Crews are currently removing the old asphalt-concrete surface along this section. Once completed, they will replace the top layer and repaint the road markings. Work will then continue in Uchilischny Lane (from Vladimir Lenin Street to Ilya Mukhachev Street).

Repairs will also be carried out on the following road sections:

  • Krasnooktyabrskaya Street (from Krasnoyarsky Lane to Baikalsky Lane);
  • Vali Maksimovoy Street (from 314 Vladimir Lenin Street to Mikhail Mitrofanov Street, including a roundabout junction);
  • Gorno-Altaiskaya Street (from Donskoy Lane to Vladimir Martyanov Street);
  • Krasnoarmeyskaya Street (from Kozhevenny Lane to Kommunarovsky Lane), as well as sidewalk repairs along Krasnoarmeyskaya Street (from Vladimir Lenin Street to Kommunarovsky Lane);
  • Sovetskaya Street (from Sergey Kirov Prospect to Kommunarovsky Lane);
  • Trochimova Street (from Pyotr Merlin Street to Yefim Mamontov Street);
  • Kozhevenny Lane (from Ilya Mukhachev Street to Sovetskaya Street).

The mayor noted that under the national project, nine road sections in Biysk are scheduled for repair by 2026, with over 240 million rubles allocated for the work. All repairs must be completed by the end of September.
