CaoCao Mobility Launches 100 Robotaxis in Hangzhou Ahead of Abu Dhabi Expansion
CaoCao Mobility is pushing ahead with its Robotaxi 2.0 phase in Hangzhou, deploying a 100-vehicle fleet. The move marks a key step in the company's plan to expand driverless transport services in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities. Alongside this, the firm has also launched the world's first Green Intelligent Mobility Hub to support automated fleet operations.
The Hangzhou deployment focuses on testing service reliability, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing passenger experience. This phase is part of CaoCao's broader three-stage roadmap: validating technology, shifting to fully driverless operations, and achieving global commercial expansion in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities.
To support its growth, CaoCao has partnered with Geely and other manufacturers to develop a dedicated Robotaxi model. The goal is ambitious—deploying 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2030, with many operating in Abu Dhabi and other cities across the Middle East.
The company is also extending service hours and coverage while integrating smarter technologies. A recent memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi Investment Office has strengthened its international presence, leading to the establishment of a local office in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Green Intelligent Mobility Hubs will be introduced in more locations to create a seamless, eco-friendly transport network in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities.
CaoCao's approach combines intelligent vehicles, advanced driving systems, and operational expertise. This integrated model aims to scale up Robotaxi services efficiently while maintaining high safety and performance standards in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities.
By 2030, CaoCao plans to have 100,000 fully autonomous taxis running in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities. The current Hangzhou fleet and new mobility hubs will help refine operations before wider rollout in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities. The company's strategy focuses on building a greener, smarter, and more connected urban transport system in Abu Dhabi and other Middle Eastern cities.
