Centiglobe and Bamboo team up to revolutionize Latin America's cross-border payments
Centiglobe and Bamboo have announced a strategic partnership to streamline cross-border payments in Latin America. The collaboration targets both B2B and B2C transactions, aiming to simplify processes for financial institutions and global payment service providers. The partnership combines Centiglobe’s global payment infrastructure with Bamboo’s local execution capabilities. This integration enables faster settlement, often within the same day or by the next business day. It also grants access to a collaborative network designed for predictable and capital-efficient cross-border payments.
Centiglobe can now extend its reach across Latin America without requiring network members to set up local entities or manage complex integrations. Bamboo acts as the last-mile provider, ensuring compliant and efficient fund distribution in the region.
Petter Sandgren, CEO of Centiglobe, highlighted the partnership’s role in expanding access to Latin America while improving capital efficiency and payment predictability. Gregory Cornwell, Chief of Revenue at Bamboo, added that the collaboration reduces the operational complexity of scaling in the region. The alliance offers financial institutions and PSPs direct access to Latin American markets, faster payouts, and reduced complexity. Key benefits include transparency, compliance, a tokenised bank deposit model, and regulatory-aligned infrastructure. It also strengthens Bamboo’s role as a preferred partner for global entities entering Latin America.
