Community cleanup transforms Nyuklinskaya Spit's pebble beaches into pristine shores

A community cleanup took place along Nyuklinskaya Spit on May 25, drawing lawmakers, regional staff, and Youth Parliament members. The event aimed to clear litter from the pebble beach, focusing on areas that are difficult to access. Organisers noted a steady reduction in waste compared to previous years.

Volunteers worked together to clean several kilometres of shoreline. The collected trash was later removed by a loader to prevent overflowing the existing bins. Andrei Zykov, First Deputy Chairman of the Magadan Regional Duma, called the effort a meaningful tradition and described participation as an act of creation and environmental care.

Residents interested in organising their own cleanups can seek support from the Administrative and Technical Inspection. Trash bags, gloves, and waste removal vouchers are available at 3B Gorky Square during working hours. For further guidance, consultations can be arranged by calling +7 (4132) 201-112. The Youth Parliament had previously led a similar cleanup at Nagayevo Bay. Each year, the amount of litter collected has decreased, reflecting ongoing improvements in keeping the area clean.

The cleanup along Nyuklinskaya Spit highlights continued efforts to maintain the region’s natural spaces. With support from local authorities, residents can now take part in or organise their own environmental initiatives. The Administrative and Technical Inspection provides the necessary supplies and assistance for these events.
