Dacia Striker debuts as a bold, budget-friendly compact wagon in 2026
Dacia has revealed the Striker, a new compact lifestyle wagon set to launch in June. The model enters a shrinking market segment with a starting price below €25,000. Its design blends a shooting brake silhouette with raised ground clearance and a roomy cargo area.
The Striker will make its official debut in June 2026. Detailed technical specifications, including engine options, will be released at that time. Buyers can expect hybrid, hybrid all-wheel-drive, and LPG variants, though exact power outputs remain unconfirmed.
With a length of 4.62 metres, the Striker outstretches the Sandero, Jogger, and even the larger Bigster SUV. Its engine range may mirror the Bigster's, offering up to 116 kW (155 hp). The model will compete with the VW Golf Variant, Opel Astra Sports Tourer, and Škoda Octavia Combi, all priced around €30,000. The Striker's design focuses on practicality and style. A raised ride height improves ground clearance, while the wagon body provides ample cargo space. Dacia aims to attract buyers looking for an affordable yet versatile compact estate.
The Striker's launch in June will introduce a budget-friendly option in the compact wagon segment. Its hybrid, all-wheel-drive, and LPG versions expand choices for cost-conscious drivers. The model's length and cargo flexibility could make it a strong contender against more expensive rivals.
