dLocal's BNPL Fuse Expands Globally to Simplify Cross-Border Payments
dLocal has expanded its Buy Now, Pay Later infrastructure, BNPL Fuse, to global merchants across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. The move aims to simplify cross-border payments and boost adoption of flexible financing options. BNPL Fuse now operates in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia. Colombia, Chile, and the UAE are set to follow soon. The platform has grown rapidly, with processed volumes hitting USD$18.9 million in March 2026, marking a ~20% month-over-month increase for the past year.
New providers like Didi in Mexico and Addi in Colombia have joined the network. Aplazo and Venti are also expected to integrate shortly. The system removes the need for separate contracts, integrations, or compliance checks for each provider in every market.
BNPL Fuse includes features such as centralised refund handling and subscription revenue tools. It also uses an active intelligence layer to screen eligibility, enrich payer data, and optimise checkouts. In South Africa, BNPL transactions are 60-330% larger than card payments, driving extra revenue for merchants. The platform’s checkout optimisation has improved conversion rates by up to 144% for some live integrations. The service offers fixed-term installment financing with clear repayment terms to protect both shoppers and sellers. Merchants gain access to a unified system that simplifies BNPL adoption across multiple regions. The expansion strengthens dLocal’s position in emerging markets.
