Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has extended metro operating hours for the Red and Green Lines during the Eid Al Adha holiday. The move aims to provide safer and more convenient travel for residents and visitors. Authorities are also encouraging commuters to plan journeys in advance for a smoother experience. The extended metro timings will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on Saturday, May 30, as well as from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, May 31, services will operate from 8:00 am to 1:00 am. These adjustments are part of broader efforts to enhance transport services during the holiday period.
The RTA has recommended using the park-and-ride system at key stations, including Centrepoint, Jumeirah Golf Estates, National Paints, and Etisalat (e&) Metro Stations. Motorists are encouraged to leave their cars at these locations and continue their trips via metro, reducing congestion.
For those heading to busy areas like Dubai Mall, the metro remains the quickest and most efficient option during peak times. Passengers are advised to secure their belongings and use smart channels, such as the Souhail app, to top up Nol cards and check real-time updates. The RTA’s extended metro hours and park-and-ride recommendations aim to ease travel during Eid Al Adha. Commuters can rely on the Souhail app for fare details and service alerts. These measures are designed to ensure a hassle-free experience across Dubai’s transport network.
