Ecommpay launches Express Checkout for Apple Pay and Google Pay

Ecommpay has expanded its payment options by introducing Express Checkout for Apple Pay and Google Pay. The new feature allows eligible customers to see these payment methods directly in a merchant’s checkout flow. This aims to streamline the purchasing process for shoppers. The Express Checkout feature enables merchants to display Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons earlier in the customer journey. This moves beyond the traditional Hosted Payment Page setup, giving shoppers quicker access to preferred payment methods. Artur Zaremba, Head of Internal Payment Solutions Product Stream at Ecommpay, highlighted the advantages of this approach.

Data shows single-page checkouts achieve a 61% conversion rate, compared to 56% for multi-page versions. Additionally, 59% of orders come from guest customers, who previously had to enter details manually. Ecommpay’s solution reduces this friction by allowing faster payment initiation within the merchant’s own checkout experience. The new Express Checkout options are now available for eligible customers. Merchants can integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay directly into their checkout process. This change is expected to improve conversion rates and simplify purchases for guest shoppers.
