GAAP net income increased to $6.5 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, compared to $6.0 million in 2024. Labour costs also fell, dropping by 90 basis points to 31.5% of sales. Looking ahead, management expects systemwide comparable store sales to grow by 2%-3% in 2026.
The company's financial results show steady growth in revenue and profitability. With nine new stores added and strong sales from recent openings, El Pollo Loco continues to expand while maintaining a strong presence in California. Management's forecast suggests further sales growth in the coming year.
