Emergency pipeline repairs to disrupt water and traffic overnight

Emergency repairs on a major water pipeline will disrupt supplies for some residents this week. The work, scheduled along Constitution Street, will also affect traffic in the area overnight. Authorities have urged households to prepare by storing extra water ahead of time.

The repairs will take place on a 500-mm main water pipeline from 9:00 PM on March 26 until 6:00 AM the following day. During this period, homes on Severnaya Street, Yunykh Lenintsev Street, Roz Street, Constitution Street, and Moskovskaya Street may face lower water pressure or temporary cut-offs.

Constitution Street itself will see traffic restrictions while the work is underway. Officials have warned drivers to expect delays or seek alternative routes during the nighttime operation.

Households in the affected streets are advised to fill containers with water before the repairs begin. The measures aim to minimise inconvenience while crews carry out the essential pipeline work. Normal service and traffic flow should resume by early morning on March 27.
