Gelendzhik's sleek new bus stops bring modern comfort to commuters

Gelendzhik is upgrading its public transport stops with a new project to install 10 modern news shelters. The first of these have already appeared along key routes, marking the city's first major update to its bus stops in years. Until now, no similar steel-and-glass structures existed in the area. The new news shelters feature steel frames with reinforced glass, along with built-in benches and trash bins. The first units have been placed on Gelendzhiksky Prospect, Kirov Street, and Turisticheskaya Street. Most of the new stops sit close to social facilities, improving access for residents. Work on Sadovaya Street is nearing completion. Once the news shelters are fully installed, crews will restore the surrounding pavement and connect electricity. This marks a shift from the city's older stops, which lacked such modern designs. Before this project, Gelendzhik had never replaced or expanded its bus stops with similar structures. The upgrades aim to provide better protection from weather and more comfort for waiting passengers. The project introduces 10 new news shelters across Gelendzhik, each with reinforced glass, seating, and waste bins. After installation, the final steps will include pavement repairs and electrical connections. The changes will bring the city's public transport news infrastructure up to modern standards.
