Grasp Names Ex-Pleo Exec Fredric Ghatan as New Chief Product Officer

Swedish AI startup Grasp has appointed Fredric Ghatan as its new Chief Product Officer. The former Pleo executive will now lead the company’s product and strategy teams. His role comes as the firm continues to expand its reach in enterprise automation. Grasp specialises in AI-powered solutions for high finance, helping businesses automate complex and costly tasks. Its proprietary agent system has already attracted major clients, including all four of the Big Four consulting firms. Consultants at one of these firms reportedly saved 60 hours per month by using Grasp’s tools.

Ghatan joins from Pleo, where he led product scaling, operations, and talent development. Before that, he worked at Volvo Cars, bringing a mix of tech and corporate experience to his new position. At Grasp, he will focus on aligning product development with both technical advancements and customer demands. The company has seen rapid growth, with its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) increasing fourfold since 2025. It now serves nearly 250 customers across 30 countries. CEO and co-founder Richard Karlsson welcomed Ghatan, calling his appointment a key step in Grasp’s continued expansion.

Ghatan’s arrival strengthens Grasp’s leadership as it scales further. The company’s AI-driven automation tools are already delivering measurable time savings for major clients. His experience in product growth and operations is expected to help refine Grasp’s offerings for enterprise customers.
