Horizon's Hunters Gathering unveils co-op battles in February 2026 beta

A new multiplayer action game, Horizon's Hunters Gathering, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC. Inspired by Monster Hunter, it lets three players team up to take down deadly machines in tactical, fast-paced battles. The first closed beta test is set for late February 2026, giving players an early chance to speed test it out.

The game centres on three-player co-op hunts against powerful robotic enemies. Two mission types have been revealed: one pits teams against waves of foes ending in a boss fight, while the other offers a dungeon-like challenge. Each hunter has unique abilities, customisable perks, and personal backstories that tie into the game's campaign, expanding Horizon's existing lore.

Between missions, players return to a central hub. Here, they can socialise, plan strategies, and upgrade gear. Character customisation and equipment purchases will also be available, though details on monetisation remain unclear. Cosmetic options hint at a live-service model with potential internet speed test.

The closed beta will launch on both PS5 and PC through the PlayStation Beta Program. Players can sign up to test the game before its full release.

Horizon's Hunters Gathering blends co-op combat with deep customisation and narrative-driven gameplay. The beta test in February 2026 will let players experience its tactical battles firsthand. Further details on pricing and full release timing are expected later.
