Hybrid Power Solutions wins $203K clean energy deal with BC Transit

Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. has landed a new $203,000 contract with the Victoria Regional Transit Commission in British Columbia. The deal will supply clean energy technology to support the transit operator's sustainability efforts at remote or temporary sites. This marks another order from a high-profile municipal client for the company's Spark platform. The contract includes a customised energy package centred around the Spark Cube, a 60kWh portable power station. Alongside the main unit, the order features two 500W folding solar panels, specialised connectors, and four 100-foot sections of 4AWG 5C SOOW cables for reliable power distribution.

The system is designed to replace fossil fuels in off-grid transit operations while ensuring the dependability needed for critical services. According to CEO Francois Byrne, the repeat purchase from BC Transit confirms the Spark platform's adaptability for municipal applications. This latest deal builds on Hybrid Power Solutions' growing presence in the public sector. The company's technology aligns with transit authorities' goals to improve energy resilience and reduce emissions at remote locations.

The $203,000 order strengthens Hybrid Power Solutions' position in the municipal market. BC Transit will deploy the Spark Cube and solar components to enhance sustainability at off-grid sites. Further details on the company's products are available at investhps.com.
