Hyde Park's New 64-Charger Hub Makes EV Living Easier for Residents
A new electric vehicle charging project has launched in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Loop Global recently completed the installation of 64 Level 2 chargers at a residential development, covering a quarter of the parking spaces available. The initiative highlights how developers and technology firms are working together to expand charging access for residents. Commonwealth Development Partners selected the Hyde Park location for its convenient access to downtown Boston and nearby markets. From the start, the company included charging infrastructure in the project’s design, ensuring seamless integration.
Loop Global supplied its Flex 32 A Level 2 chargers for the site. The company’s networked platform allows real-time monitoring and energy management, giving residents greater control over charging. DMH Electric handled the electrical work and secured utility incentives, reducing total project costs by around 70%. Esther M. Santos, Vice President and Head of Sales at Loop Global, noted that the project showcases what can be achieved when developers, utilities, and technology providers collaborate. The company, known for its turnkey EV charging solutions, has previously worked with clients like AvalonBay Communities, Reem Mall, and AMLI Residential.
The Hyde Park development now offers 64 chargers, making EV ownership more practical for residents. The project’s success relied on early planning and financial incentives, cutting costs significantly. Similar partnerships could help expand charging networks in other residential areas.
