Kamag's Electric ePM 101 Transforms Heavy-Duty Logistics with Zero Emissions
Kamag has expanded its 101-generation vehicle range with the ePM 101, an all-electric swap-body handler. Designed for high-turnover logistics hubs, this new model combines emission-free operation with improved efficiency. Companies like DB Schenker and Rhenus have already adopted it for heavy-duty transport in industries such as automotive and renewable energy.
The Kamag ePM 101 entered the market in 2023, offering a zero-local-emission alternative to conventional vehicles. Its high-performance electromechanical drivetrain, powered by lithium-ion batteries, ensures reliable operation even in extreme temperatures. Intelligent thermal management maintains consistent performance while keeping noise levels low.
Operator comfort was a key focus in its design. The cab features a spacious interior, a clear digital control panel, and a low entry height for easy access. New sunshades protect drivers from sunlight during frequent entry and exit, while heated mirrors and ECE-compliant lighting enhance safety.
The electric model reduces running costs compared to diesel-powered equivalents. Its precise drivetrain control improves handling and performance, making it ideal for heavy loads like wind turbine components. According to Godehard Eidenhammer, Head of Sales for Logistics Vehicles, the ePM 101 retains the precision and ergonomics of earlier models while eliminating emissions.
The Kamag ePM 101 supports companies in meeting sustainability targets by cutting on-site CO₂ emissions. Its combination of efficiency, safety, and operator comfort has already proven useful in sectors like automotive and renewable energy. With three years of real-world use, the model continues to demonstrate its role in emission-free heavy transport.
