Kazakhstan Launches AI-Powered Virtual Assistant for Statistical Data

Kazakhstan’s Bureau of National Statistics (Qazstat) has introduced AI Stat, a new AI-powered virtual assistant. The tool aims to simplify access to statistical data by offering quick, automated support for users navigating digital services. The service was first tested in April 2026 before undergoing refinements based on early user feedback. AI Stat now helps individuals and businesses with statistical reporting, form completion, and data searches through a conversational interface.

By entering a business identification number (BIN) or individual identification number (IIN), users receive an instant list of mandatory statistical forms. The assistant also selects the correct OKED activity codes and, if necessary, redirects complex queries to a call centre. Maksat Turlybbaev, head of Qazstat, explained that AI Stat removes the need to navigate complicated service structures. Instead, users get answers in a few clicks. The platform currently operates in two languages, with an English version planned for future release. The launch aligns with Kazakhstan’s broader push for digitalisation and AI integration in government services. AI Stat consolidates consultation, data navigation, and reporting support into a single, user-friendly interface.

AI Stat is now available to streamline statistical processes for businesses and individuals. The tool reduces administrative burdens by automating key tasks and providing instant guidance. Future updates will expand its language options and functionality.
