A friendly football match between Kazakhstan and Comoros at Astana Arena saw young athletes from Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 8 take part in an environmental effort. The children, aged 8 to 18, joined fans in supporting the Clean Kazakhstan initiative during and after the game. The school, which specialises in football and futsal, sent its pupils to attend the match as part of their ongoing involvement in the Clean Kazakhstan campaign. Before kick-off, the young players displayed the initiative's banner on the pitch. After the final whistle, they helped clear litter from the stadium stands.
The institution, led by Erkebulan Aldabergenov, provides free training, equipment, and travel for around 1,000 children under 32 coaches. Selection is competitive, but those accepted receive more than just sports education. Aldabergenov emphasised that participation in such initiatives teaches responsibility beyond the field.
Clean Kazakhstan has become a regular feature at national team matches, with the school systematically supporting the effort. The children's involvement reinforces lessons in discipline, teamwork, and environmental awareness. The young athletes combined their passion for football with community action. Their cleanup efforts at Astana Arena followed a structured approach to education that extends beyond sports. The school's partnership with Clean Kazakhstan ensures that environmental responsibility remains a key part of their development.
