Kempten's First Bitcoin Hub Opens Its Doors to Enthusiasts Next Week
A new community space for bitcoin enthusiasts is set to open in Kempten. Called Bitcoin Metropole, it will launch on March 13 at Rathausstraße 2, offering free events for both beginners and experienced users. The hub is the first of its kind in the Allgäu region, filling a gap for local crypto news supporters.
The project is led by MX12 ART, a local bitcoin artist, with backing from the Kempten bitcoin community. Organisers describe the space as an open, relaxed environment for learning, networking, and creative projects. Regular activities will include beginner courses, workshops, meetups, and bitcoin-themed art installations.
The grand opening on March 13 starts at 10 AM and is free to attend. While the event itself has no entry fee, organisers are seeking €700 in sponsorships to cover refreshments. Any extra funds raised will go toward the hub's monthly rent.
Currently, no similar bitcoin community spaces exist in nearby cities like Memmingen, Immenstadt, or Lindau. The Bitcoin Metropole team welcomes volunteers and supporters to help expand the project's reach.
The hub will provide a dedicated space for bitcoin education and networking in Kempten. With no other crypto news focused venues in the area, it aims to become a central meeting point for enthusiasts. Organisers continue to seek sponsors and volunteers to sustain the initiative.
